Difficult customers

I know difficult customers are expected, but what do you do to not get down, or feel like you failed.

I always tell myself I did my best and that some people are never happy, what's your advice?

Re: Difficult customers

You can't make everyone happy. Do your best but don't compromise your ethics or policies just because someone wants to scam you or take out their frustrations on you.

Re: Difficult customers

I just try to focus on the customers who tell me they love my jewellery :) dont let it get you down.....these people re probably miserable in real life too (you know those people who go out to restraunts just so they can complain lol).

Re: Difficult customers

1800 sales in just about exactly 1 year? WOW

Yeah with those numbers, something's bound to get lost in the mail. Life happens.

Just keep swimming...

Re: Difficult customers

It is VERY hard to please everyone. I have jumped through hoops for several and then they dont buy the item. Overall, focus on the positive and deal with those who love your work. It can be discouraging when coming across some people you cannot make happy.

Re: Difficult customers

Yes it can really bring you down. I post about it here-that definately helps to know you are not alone and yes-like everyone here says: you just have to focus on the good aspects of your other sales and experiences. Some peoples expectation of your control over every aspect (like mail delivery) is just too high. You are an artisan, not a wizard!
