Hi all,

I really appreciate the valuable feedback and tips that everyone provides.

As you all suggested, I am using my time to tweek my listings. SO - quick question. I am sure it varies on the different items here on ETSY, but in case there are any tips.....

Do successful sellers find it better to list things generically, or within specific categories? I am talking about the "who is is for", "occasion" and "style" specifics that we can do.

Right now Etsy says they don't use those for the search, so I don't worry much about it one way or another. I would use them when applicable and not use them when not applicable.

For instance, if you make Christmas stockings, I'd make the occasion "Christmas." If you make tutus, I'd say they're for girls. But if you make socks, I wouldn't pick a who is this for or occasion.
