Hi guys I am trying to improve my etsy shop and i have a question and i can't find the answer any where, maybe you can help?

I want to change my default language, no translating change it! see my first language is Spanish no English and I am starting to think that probably is the problem not having many views because probably my titles tags and descriptions are no well written. so How can i change it?

I read you just have that option when you first created the shop if that is that case, that there is no option to changing the default language we should suggest to add that option. I found many people complaining about it but there is no answers.

Hi Katia,

I am not sure I understand your question, but here it goes:

You can change the default language written by Etsy by clicking on "You" on the top right corner. Then click on "Account Settings" and select the "Preferences" tab. Select the language of your preference. Do not forget to click on the "Update Preferences" button at the bottom of that page, otherwise you will lose your preferences.

This will change everything to Spanish, except the text inserted by you in your listings (Titles, descriptions, etc., etc.). You will have to do that yourself.

I do not think that what I said above will help you. I just found out that the changes will only affect how you see yours and other shops default text.

Yeah! it's look like you can't change it! that option since i read so far it was when you open the shop otherwise you just can add languages to translate or the other option is yo can change your own shop how you view it but still no change the default lenguage
