Custom order question

Is there a specific way to list them? A previous customer just requested the same item in another color so what i was going to do is copy the original items listing and change the tilte, tags and description since i dont have a pic yet. Does that sound good? Or is there a certain way i have to do it?

for a custome order(I've only done 2) I don't put any tags and the title says reserved for so and so. you don't out a description. it's just because you don't want anyone else to buy it. for the picture you can put a picture of the original items they bought or just the text that says reserved for so and so.

I also put reservedin the title and reserved for xxyz in the body, but i do put a description and I do use tags. for example
my title: Reserved Knife roll
description: knife roll reserved for Julie

I also include in the description that this is reserved but if you are interested in a custom order to please convo me. I have received several custom orders this way. I made one knife roll as an out of the blue convo request and have now made a total of 4 because people see the listing. You just never know :)

I make a lot of custom listings (I'd say about 2/3 of my business is custom listings)

I always put a descriptive title and tags - even if the listing is only live for a half hour that's still another way someone could search for something similar to that item and find you.

i also put in the description any details that my customer and i have discussed prior,, just so i don't miss anything when i go to make the bag. that and they can confirm that the listing itemizes exactly what they want.

and that's a GREAT tip about the "if you would like a custom listing please convo me" I hadnt thought of that before, mind if i borrow? :)
