Creating shipping listings

Hi, I've just set up my shop. My ceramics and cushions (soon to be added) vary hugely in weight and so I can't offer one shipping fee. I don't want to use the highest cost (as suggested by some people) as this may put off buyers purchasing small items (Even if offering to refund the excess - I don't think buyers would read this at first)

I've instead created shipping listing's. Is this just over complicating things?

What are your thoughts?

Re: Creating shipping listings

Too complicated for sure.

This can all be done in your listings anyways--you can set your prices to accommodate different countries.

You can even set up shipping profiles by weight or by item...or whatever parameters you choose:

Re: Creating shipping listings

Much too complicated.
If you leave shipping at $0.00, you will get people expecting to have free shipping.
Please add a cost to all your listings or you will have problems.

You can break down shipping costs by country.
Buyers are used to having to pay higher costs and getting a refund if the cost is more than a few dollars under what they paid.

Don't depend on your customers reading everything. Make it easy for them to buy and leave.

Nice shop :)

Re: Creating shipping listings

Exactly what Sam and Doreen said ! You should totally take advantage of the delivery profiles and use em :)

I have about 15 profiles based on weight and products - don't believe there's a cap and they don't need to be in use - you can save one and use it later ! Very easy and it comes in handy !

Also by country ... you don't need to list every single one - but you could have a few main ones and then everywhere else (if you plan to ship worldwide) as not everyone does ...
