Craft Show Nerves!

I have signed up for my first craft show and am feeling quite nervous about it!

It is a dog-themed event (blessing of dogs, search and rescue demonstration, dog fashion show, and hot dogs... for humans and dogs!) and it is the 3rd year it is happening. There are only a handful of non-adoption vendors with an expected attendance of 500 humans (and lord knows how many dogs!).

I have no idea how much stuff to bring. I've been going crazy trying to make a LOT of items but I'm not sure what kind of success rate people have with craft shows and if I'm stressing myself out for no reason.

Also, lots of different types/variations of items so hopefully attract different people OR multiple of each type based on what sells best on Etsy?

Re: Craft Show Nerves!

Sounds like a lot of fun with all the dogs. I would recommend bringing a lot of dog themed items. I am a dog person myself and that is what I would tend to buy at an event like the one you are talking about. I would bring as much as you can comfortable bring. If you do not have it with you, you cannot sell it.

Of course if you do not sell a lot at the booth then you have just stocked your Etsy shop so make more items to bring. Don't drive yourself crazy however.

I would also suggest that you have a bowl on your table with dog treats and maybe even some bowls of water by your table as well for the dogs.

Good luck and have fun. Oh last bit of advice, label the outside of the containers you bring, with what is inside so you do not have to open every container to find what you are looking for!
