Coupon Code for a Section

Is there a way to create a coupon code for a specific section in my shop? I want to offer a code for my beaded purses, but I only have options for a "shipping discount", "fixed discount" or "percentage discount".

I don't think there is an option for this right now. It seems like a fairly standard thing to have coupon codes for certain categories, so maybe it is on the list of one-days for Etsy.

It would really be handy to be able to put just one or two sections on sale with a coupon. But I don't think we can do that right now.

No this isn't an option. You can't specify a coupon code for specific sections, or specific products. Seems like a feature most people would like though.

It is a great idea! When I run my sales I do add a note for buyers explaining that coupons are not applicable to "custom orders." Being able to create a specific coupon would be wonderful!

No you cannot offer a coupon code for a specific section but you can use an app such as EtsyOnSale.com to mark down items only in a specific section.

Once you've decided what the discount should be, you simply tell EtsyOnSale and the changes will be made at the time you've scheduled your sale to start.

And the great thing is, it will change everything back once the sale is over as well.
