Copy vs New listing

Hello

Which is better copying a listing to relist or creating a new listing of the same product?
How many should you do each day for optimum sales?

Thank you

I believe you're talking about "renewing", as creating a new listing for the same product is quite redundant.

Either way, it will only cost you money in the end, as creating new listings are only effective if the listing is actually a new item and not the same one with a fresh date.

You should just be able to renew the listing. That takes the hearts with it.

OK, I just took a quick look at your shop, and renewing isn't what you need to be doing. I have to believe you aren't getting found in search, and that's a relevancy issue, not a recency issue. Save .20

Your tags and titles need some work. Make each tag a phrase that someone would type into the search bar if they were looking for your product. You have 13 opportunities to reach the person, so make every phrase a good one. Then make your title using the tags. It will help people to find you when they are looking for what you sell.

Re: Copy vs New listing

If you are simply extending the time on an existing listing then you want to renew it. That will keep the hearts and views attached to the listing.

If you want to create a brand new listing, then you will copy it and delete the old one.. All hearts and views on the listing will be lost.

I never delete listings. They either sell out or I let them expire.

I only renew listings when they are about to expire since I've already paid my $.20 for 4 months. My theory is that if its listed in the shop and the title is well written, then the potential customer will bind it regardless of when it was listed.

Re: Copy vs New listing

I usually copy listings for new ones because my descriptions are quite similar, as well as some of my tags. After that, I change the relevant bits (pictures, titles, etc). I save time that way.
