Bezar.com ??

I had someone contact me recently from Bezar.com. Its an online market place for handmade goods, and supposedly can bring traffic to you Etsy shop and help your business out. I am wondering if any of you have sold on this website before and if it actually brought you long term traffic and sales??!!! Please help!! Thanks!!!

Re: Bezar.com ??

Never heard of Bezar before this.

I tried checking out about selling on there just now, and I thought it was weird that you had to fill out a form to get more info. Don't most places usually have their fees listed up front?

Agree with Nikki. Never heard of them. It's very abnormal to give no information regarding your company while asking for sign up details from someone else. You can try Google searching 'reviews' on them and see what comes up. Be careful.

Re: Bezar.com ??

Yea, someone emailed us, and then called us about having our stuff on their site. They kinda jumped around when I asked about what kind of commission they take.. which made me skeptical about them in general.

Re: Bezar.com ??

I just finished a one week campaign with bezar.com.

They are professional and a legit business. If you got offered a spot I recomend you take it!

I did and I got a lot of exposure and a good amount of sales.

Re: Bezar.com ??

Bumping this! I got approached by Bezar also and have had a hard time figuring out if it's worthwhile or not. On the one hand, it seems like the exposure from doing a pop-up shop with them would be pretty solid. (Fame! Fortune! Referrals stretching around the block!) Maybe, maybe not. But on the other hand, they operate on a wholesale basis, so you can expect to give them 50% of whatever you sell. That wouldn't be so bad, except it's also a deal site, so their customers have to be given a discount, too...which comes out of your end. So, say a product is being sold on the site for 25% off...that means you'll only be making 25% of retail price on that item. For me, that's pretty painful. For others it might not be, depending on what you make and what your labor and materials cost. They do let you decide your pricing and quantities and whatnot, so in that way it's flexible. And it'd be a good way to liquidate product! I'm going to do it, even though it hurts, to see if the exposure makes a difference. Hopefully sharing my thought process will help someone else trying to decide!

Re: Bezar.com ??

Hi Chelsie, thanks for the additional info! Their pricing seems rather extreme... and highly unprofitable for the artist. I wonder how big of a user base they have on average? If they're actually spending the 50% they take on effective and valuable marketing, that'd be one thing, but if they're just being greedy...

Re: Bezar.com ??

Hi,

They have contacted me couple of months ago but I didn't like their commission structure so I said no. They take way too much money and we as an actual "designers" get almost nothing.
