Avatar help please!

Hi all,

I started selling in January. I sell hand stamped jewelry, hand painted glassware, and have about 100 more items in both categories to list. I truly want to change my avatar, but with selling different lines of products, I have no idea what style to go with for an avatar. Which explains why I have my face in there :)

Any ideas on creating an avatar to fit my shop?

I've been working on my Avatar too! Finally I have something I'm happy with. Though like you I sell many different things, rings, leather jewelry etc I just decided to go with what I thought would be most eye catching. Personally if I were you I would use one of the hand stamped necklaces, the photos are very clean and they pop.

Hi Harmony---I change mine up once in a while. Can't do my face in there or customers would run screaming!! lol

Hi Harmony,
What I was told is use your business logo~~~for branding across the line. I use mine on my F/B biz page as well as my avatar. The hard part right now for me is a new banner. Need something better. We have a graphic designer in our local Etsy group and I need to get her opinion.

I know I kinda get tired of the same thing - both mine and other shops that never change - so I change mine every now and then anyway.
That said, the logo is a good idea. Also perhaps consider your most popular item as an avatar.

Similar to others, I keep my avatar the same all the time, and on all the websites I use for my business to assist in branding. (Also, I don't like showing my face all over the place, so focusing it on mainly my product has worked for me!)

I loved Ashley's idea of using one of your product photos--the second one in particular, on that light, natural wood, really stood out for me as a great, professional-looking shot.

Great ideas! I'm kind of thinking of painting wine bottles solid colors and hanging the pendants on them or something :-/ I don't know, so hard to combine the two products. On my display in the local shop that I am in I have a shelf in between all of the glasses that have frosted wine bottles with the pendants hanging on them. Works there, but not a great back drop for pics. Going to play a little and see.

Kathleen, I love your banner. It brings together the whole feel of drinking tea! One of my favorite past times :)

As you can see, I love tea. My pic is one I took in Kew England where I had the best tea and scone ever.

My avatar is the same image that's in my banner. It's a card I made for a relative and it inspired me to reopen my shop last fall.
