Hi, I`ve just come across the discussion forum and found it very interesting.
I`ve been a member of Etsy for nearly a year.
After spending another depressing few months attending craft fairs leading up to christmas and not even selling a hat at some of them. Also a few years trying to sell products from our farm at local markets and some days not even selling 1/2 dozen eggs. I have decided not to do any markets this year unless I`m asked to demonstrate spinning and concentrate on my Etsy site.
One problem I realise I have is not being able to produce a large stock of wool at one time due to how long it takes to spin and presume when customers are looking at a site they want a large choice? Do people really want natural wool? Because of where we live and a bit pride!! Its not something I can get other people to do. It dosen`t help at the moment as I`ve got a servere back problem which I should be having an operation on soon, so hopefully after that I should be able to get more done.
Another question is how to get people to find the site it the first place. I put in as many tags as I think relevent.
Also postage is so expensive from here, do you think it puts people off buying from Ireland?
Thanks for any comments,
Rebecca
