An experiment to see if sales/coupon codes work.

I have seen quite a few discussions recently about if sales/coupon codes actually bring about sales.

Sadly, it seems that most people have not had great luck with coupon codes bringing increased traffic or sales to their shops.

So, I would like to give it one more chance.
For the next week, enter coupon code: ITWORKS to receive 10% of your purchase in my shop.

I invite everybody who would like to make coupon codes and post them here and see if it increases traffic and sales! Let's see if it works!

Hi, I am new to Etsy and the team. I just added a coupon code for 15% off from both my shops. JJZG and JJZG2. I was not going to because when I opened the shops I added one as a "grand opening" but it did not bring in any traffic.

Hopefully this this new one will help.

My JJZG shop does not have as many items as I thought I could add by now because I fell and hurt my hand so my pottery, felting, scarves, jewelry, etc. inventory is not available. I hope to get some done this weekend (it's already Sunday). I guess we can all use some help in bringing in the buyers. Thank you!

I find if you offer an incentive if they spend a certain amount of money it gets you multiple sales. I have free shipping if they spend 10.00 or more in my shop. I seldom get any order under 10 to 15.00 so i think it works. Beofre I offered that I was getting lots of people spending 5.00.

None luck with my coupon code yet. Why aren't you people buying my stuff (just joking). But hope springs eternal.

I love the idea of incentives, like spend $15 and get free shipping. I can't offer free shipping because a lot of my stuff is heavy and fragile--dang you vintage glass! But I do offer a coupon code to my customers to encourage repeat business.

And if this doesn't bring in sales...don't be too discouraged. I see so many items on Etsy that I would love to buy if I wasn't a broke person!
