Advice on making/boosting sales

Hi everyone,
So you may remember,as I am always advice-seeking. I'm just a little worried about my sales. I have been open since May of this year and I have only made 3 sales. Any advice on boosting my sales?

I havent made many more sales than you have, but I know there is no trick to it. There is no piece of miracle advice. The people who do really well on etsy work their butt off. They do everything they can to optimize their shop, they make a great product, they promote all over the place... it's hard work.

Hey, neighbor! I see you are in Atlanta. I love those iphone covers, just wish I had an iphone! Bet they fit other phones too, do you have other brands/styles in your title and tags?

I really like the way those phones are photographed but you might want to crop them in just a dab so they can be seen a little better, of course I have old lady eyes....

Do you use social media and are you on any teams? I've gotten a few sales that I can link to those. Teams have been very helpful to me just for asking advice and some of them are great for helping with promotion.

Having as large a number of items posted as possible is a def help. At 20 cents per item for 4 months you can list 25 items for only $5.

Hi Elise! Thank you, those are some good ideas. I will definitely have to list other phone cover brands besides for the iPhone. I am on Facebook and Tumblr. And I am on several teams. Maybe it will just take a bit more time.

Valerie, your shop is really cute! I like the way it looks in general.

It sounds like you are not doing too bad. I've had around the same amount of sales in the same time period, more this month. I've heard that the summer is slower and now that Fall is starting people will hopefully be shopping online again. And the holidays are just around the corner!

I think a few of your photos could benefit from more light.
It looks like part of your banner is cut off- redoing that might help with a more professional appearance.
Have you watched the online labs? I think they're really helpful!

I can use any and all advice as well. I'm on facebook at www.facebook.com/doggiestylzcollars. I also have a twitter account and a pinterest account. I never really paid attention to tumblr. Can you explain tumblr to me.
I love your i phone covers as well...I still have a blackberry til next April. I let my girls get the cool stuff.

Hi Marietta! I will check your facebook account out. Tumblr is just like another blog and works similar to other blogs. You can create your own website hosted from them. I just like it because it has an edgier look than some of the other blogs. It's themes are so crisp and clean and really show off art well. An example is my website right here: GiggleArt.Tumblr.com. It also has a wider source if traffic than some other blogs/sites hosts. Blogspot is also very nice, it is hosted by Google and you will get lots of traffic there as well through Google search engines.
