I've been a little 'out of the loop' lately...not feeling well...can you please tell me, where do I sign up for Etsy Search Ads and when do they begin?? Is it on Wednesday?? Thanks a lot!!

How do I participate in Search Ads?
Search Ads can be purchased in Your Account > Search Ads, see here for detailed info on how to set up and purchase your Search Ads.

When you purchase Search Ads, the new ads begin showing at 12pm GMT every day. If you create or modify your Search Ads before 10am GMT, your ads will start being displayed at 12pm GMT that same day. Any ads purchased between 10am and 12pm will begin at 12pm GMT the next day.

Search Ads are purchased on a weekly basis, so they will run 7 days from the start date. When you set up your Search Ads, you will see a “Continue to Ad Summary” button at the bottom of the page. After clicking on that you will be able to review the dates and cost of your Search Ads before you sign up.

I'm curious. Who has signed up for these 'search ads' and does this take the place of 'renewing' items?

Very interesting, been looking at advertising options for my shop lately so I might give this a go, really going to struggle on knowing exactly which keywords to pick for my shop though, could anyone suggest any or give me any advice on this? I guess "wool dreads" would be a good one, but I find my wool dreads already get plenty of views with them being quite niche.

My crochet stuff on the other hand I could do with promoting, but I don't think buyers would necessarily search for "crochet hat" for example, perhaps something more like "wool hat"? What do you think?

linziloop, unless things have suddenly changed, etsy picks the keywords from your tags. So sort out your tags and etsy then suggests keywords form their popular searches. You can't add them yourself.

Also, can't you include a WHOLE BUNCH of keywords? From what I could see, there didn't appear to be a limit...or am I wrong?
