About factory made

Why have so many factory made products on ETSY, Especially the Chinese sellers, these product all be mark as "handmade",did ETSY know that?

I agree. I've seen factory made pieces from China made to look like antique Chinese furniture and Indian furniture. What a shame.

If you take a very close look you will see many 'factory made' items being sold from many different countries, including America. However, Asian countries tend to be singled out more often as that's where most of the knock offs and cheaper items are outsourced to. China, Taiwan, Singapore all have a reputation in the USA as being great places to find really interesting products at factory prices.

Its really sad that so many shops can't come up with their own ideas.

What I don't understand is that these items are being promoted on the App 24/7. Other than the hand picked section 75% of the items featured on the app aren't hand made. Go figure.

Etsy do know they are there, but often through the vigilance of other Etsy sellers like yourself reporting such sellers.

Imagine being one of the Etsy staff for that department- people are pointing at the haystack full of needles saying "OMG there are so many needles in there! How come you've not gotten rid of them yet?"
It's always helpful when you point out one of those needles, so do report those shops whenever you find them and they'll do their investigations. It's also one of those tasks that must be fairly irritating, as there are always more needles thrown into the pile on any given day!
