About connecting with FB fans..

Hi,
I have a question about connecting with facebook fans. I am always sooo happy when I get that notification that someone 'liked' my FB page and I feel like I should do something to show the new fan my appreciation, like I do on twitter. But on FB that feels borderline stalk-ish and obsessive. So, my question is, is it good practice to welcome new fans on FB or not?

Many of the people who have "Liked" my page have private profiles. I think just keeping good content flowing is welcome enough to most people. I post general thank you's with coupon codes.
