Lovely shops and about pages! Mary, I think my only suggestion would be to also include some pictures of a few items in case that is the first contact a shopper has with your shop. What a great family though!
Nope, haven't done one (yet). It doesn't have high priority for me. I want my customers to focus on my products, not on me. Perhaps I will make one in the future (focussed on my products).
I really love the personal touch the ABOUT page gives a shop. Unless people take time to get to know the...behind the scene....shop owner, it is often over-looked. So much great info in all of the above. Got to know a bit about each of you and think they add to your shops. Heres mine...
I'm definitely missing something. How do you find the pages you've posted links to by just going to your shop? I have no idea where to even go to do mine. Man, I'm so overwhelmed right now with all of the things you can do to try to up your sales and shop views. This is more than a full-time job was.
Catherine, at the top of your page c"lick Your Shop:Elementop" and select Info & Appearance. From there select the About tab. That's where you'll set up your page.
After your page is set up, when a buyer comes into your shop they can access it on the left sidebar of your shop home page under Shop Info.
I have worked on mine & consider it 'done for now'...but I am sure, as is the case with most things, It will get worked on again in the (near) future :-) http://www.etsy.com/shop/SweetSights/about/
I don't have one for this shop (it's supplies, so there's isn't much to talk about.) But I do have one for my handmade shop! I want to add more pictures and maybe update the story... http://www.etsy.com/shop/WorldPeac/about/
I find the my shop is always in a state of gradual change, so I may need to update my about page to include the fact that I can also personalize jewelry by adding hand-stamped tags.
But I'm also afraid that it will get too long. I may have to do more tweaking to it soon. :-)
I need to catch up with the recent posts. Hoping to by the end of the weekend. But I've seen a few more and they look great! Blessings from Alaska! - Jackie http://www.etsy.com/shop/NorthernCottageGifts/about/
