A note on liking Facebook pages

When you LIKE someone's facebook page, you have to be logged in under your personal account, not under your own facebook page.

If you like something while under your facebook page, it does not count as a number on their likes.

Does that make sense?

you are correct, liking a page from your own product page does absolutely nothing, the likes from personal accounts are the only ones that count

If you're looking at your business page as yourself, on the left side you'll see your business "likes". If you click on that, you can easily like all those other businesses as yourself.

I'll use myself as an example. Monica Anderson is my regular FB page. My Spinka is my business page. When I am using FB as Monica Anderson, I would click My Spinka on the left side of my home page. This takes me to my business page. From there, I click "likes" located on the left side. Then, I'll see all the businesses I have "liked" as My Spinka, and be able to just go down the line clicking "like" as Monica Anderson.

Sounds long, but it really takes just a minute.

Monica explained it very well and since Etsy updated it so someone can "like" your facebook page directly from here I get a couple new fans a day without even trying! Love it!

I've just counted my likes and they're the same as my total likes (yes I have so few I have time to count them lol ; )) so I don't understand why people seem to think it doesn't count?
I've been liking peoples FB page from my business page all along so I was concerned about this but although most people from etsy have liked through their personal page a few haven't and their likes have still counted.

Where does this theory come from?
