This month, I am celebrating my first anniversary with etsy. Since I opened my shop a year a go, I have learned so much about selling on etsy. A special thank you for the kind hearted seller here who share their experiences and knowledge and helping me building my small business. Still I learn until today because building your Business is a continuous hard work of marketing and learning.
Here I would like to share what I have learned from a year of selling on etsy. I know I am not an expert in this and I still hope we can keep helping each other here.
When I was a newbie a year ago and excited about opening my shop but frustrated a few weeks later because of no sales, I started my search for the secret of successful selling and I found this very helpful article written by etsy mentors that boost my sales right after I started implementing their suggestion.
http://etsymentors.blogspot.com/p/critique-your-own-shop.htmlI also read lots of helpful articles at
http://www.handmadeology.com A kind hearted seller who help in how to answer a question from customer nicely:
http://www.etsy.com/teams/7722/business-topics/discuss/6262684/page/1I am promoting my shop in social media like facebook and twitter and renew my listing regularly. I also blog, active at promotion team, post my items at any website that allow me to post my items, such as wanelo.com, etsylush.com, craftjuice.com and stumbleupon.com
I spend almost 2-3 hours a day, usually at night, just promoting my shop and listings.
Sometimes I sell really well sometimes I don’t sell anything at all for weeks, One thing for sure, I try to keep my positive thinking and not taking it too hard. No sale means I have more time to sew and should work harder to promote.
*raising my glass* I wish you all seller here a good luck and more sales for years ahead
