Announcing our First Study

Hi everyone,

Earlier today we invited some of you to participate in our first study.

If you were one of the people who had a chance to participate, please let us know if you encountered any trouble with the study or the invitation process in the thread below.

If you didn't get an invite, don't worry. There will be more studies soon.

Gypsy, did you fill out some sort of study or survey? It would have been by the end of October, if the OP on this thread is accurate.

Hi everybody,

Thanks for sticking with the team through the holidays :)

We're back in action again, working on more studies and dreaming up more improvements to search.

We won't be spending much time in this team moderating forums or manning discussions, but we will continue sending invitations to studies as they occur.

If you have a technical problem with one of the studies you've taken or any suggestions on how to make the process better, shoot me a conversation.

Why do I keep hearing about surveys being sent to people who are NOT on this team?

I've read about 2 different people receiving a "search" survey, yet they are not team members? Why exactly is this team here if it isn't being used?

I find this one of the most confusing teams that I've been on. It appears everyone is being used for these surveys except team members. Even when they are used, I don't know where to look for the results. Perhaps we have all been abandoned.

I'm pretty sure we would not be privy to any results gathered. We are just random survey takers, I think?

Might be because we are self selected we are not so random and thus to be skipped?

We don't see/find out the results unless it's something they can share or need further feedback usually.

Remember there are many tests going on at the same time so others may not have to do with what admins are doing here.

They also may need more than the number or types of goods/shops who volunteered here depending on type of shops and all different criteria they'll want to cover.

When the test is complete they'll let us know but they said "first study" which should mean there will be more. Sometimes they are sent to another task totally for a while but will be back.

I was wondering if any tests were going on too. I have not heard anything either but perhaps as Gail suggested they are busy with other tests.
