SEO REVIEW for didiStyle

Hi, I have those 2 blankets and would like to make them show up when searching for baby blanket or toddler blanket but they dont :(. I have this issue for all my blankets, they just never get found through an etsy search. Everything else seams to show up on the searches, just not the blankets.
thanks,
Didi

Re: SEO REVIEW for didiStyle

OK, the first step is to make a list of all of the keyword phrases that you can think of. I'll give you a few to start with and hopefully others will chime in with ideas. Try hard not to break up words that go together as phrases.

Toddler Blanket
Baby Blanket
Minky blanket
Minky fabric Blanket
Minky baby blanket
Minky toddler blanket

What else can you think of?

Re: SEO REVIEW for didiStyle

well, i have also children, baby shower gift, baby boy present, blue baby blanket, plush baby blanket and couple more....

the issue is that i still do not show on the results. I have blanket written all over my listing, title and tags but I do not show up if searching for baby blanket.... If you search for
'children baby blanket baby boy baby shower gift baby boy present minky'
then I show up... but it is fairly untypical that someone will type all this in the search area :)))

so there got to be somethign more into it... but what?
thanks,
Didi

Re: SEO REVIEW for didiStyle

The problem is that your titles aren't using good search keywords that will help you get found. There's a lot to this but if you stick with it we can help you through it.

For starters, it's very important to use a space before or after any punctuation everywhere in your shop. Search engines ignore punctuation so without the space search engines are seeing parts of your title as "blankettoddler" and "toddlerbaby". If you put a space before or after the slash then the search engines will see it as 2 words.

I think that if you go to the google keyword tool and type in each of your phrases with the words in the order that you have them you'll find that they don't rank very highly. The first step to getting found is to find and research your keywords. You have good words but they aren't in the right order for google to understand them.
