I am quiete new here and on Etsy . I resigned my stressful job about two years ago and moved from Istanbul to Mersin city (apprx 1000 km away) where my husbands family live. I am 39 years old and have one son, named Ahmet.
I am a gemini and I like dealing&making different things when I am bored.
I have only 1 sale in 3 months although my shop have thousands of views.

I would be happy if experienced sellers have a look at my shop and critic it.
I know that I am not good at taking pictures but I am also worried about that my English knowledge/level is not good enough to describe my products .

I just saw this thread pop to the top, so I'll introduce myself.

I live and work out of my home in Detroit, Michigan. have a huge organic garden here and also keep bees.

I studied paining, printmaking and drawing in college, but have always loved jewelry and photography.

I worked for many years as a production artist / typesetter and graphic artist, and when the company I worked for went belly up three years ago, I decided not to go back to the nine-to-five and carve out a living on my own. So far it's been quite an experience! I'm hoping to make my Etsy shop a part of that.

Right now, like everyone else here, I'm trying to classify my jewelry, and learning my tags more relevant. My listing views are paltry, but my sales have been okay, considering I've been open a short time. Most of that has come from my facebook page. I'm hoping to learn as much as possible here and contribute as well.

My name is Shannon Trapp and I am part of a mother/daughter team. (My mom’s name is Peg Rosin) My parents were professional crafters my whole life. Great way to grow up! Kinda like a band of gypsies! Every weekend was a new town and a smaller town of crafters grew in it for a day or two. My parents started with children's toys and then went to miniatures. Now we follow my passion of jewelry! I grew up taking naps under a craft booth and now, 20 some years later, I can't imagine a life not making my own craft and selling what I love to do! After spending long hours listing for my new shop, I'm ready to start all over again. (First item listed 21.5.12) My typing skills are certainly improving.

I am struggling a bit with how to define what I do...it is somewhat unfocused.
I am finding uses for the mountain of materials I have accumulated in over 40 years in theater, fashion, film and teaching as well as home sewing for my three kids. I like developing new ideas.

The process been fun so far (well, maybe not the frustrating photography part) .
I'm intrigued by the challenge of making it work better.
