I joined this group some time ago but jut now posted for the first time (on the thread for suggestions for tags). It was a very good exercise in tagging to make suggestions for other people's products, so I'll definitely continue. I requested help with one of mine and look forward to seeing the responses.

Hello. I've had my shop open for about 6 months. I am just recently getting pro active. I am reading, learning, watching videos, all about SEO and it is overwhelming to say the least.
In the 6 months of having my shop I have had 1 sale.
I need help.

I opened a shop on Etsy in 2010, but added products only this January. I am a textile, web and graphic designer. I specialise in blog and website design, shop banner and brand identity design as well as custom art, illustration and print design.

I do a lot of custom work and I am always open to receiving custom orders. I currently have some skirts and bags in my shop designed by me.

Hi everybody! I may have been here a long time, but serious illness sidelined me for over a year. So I guess I am starting over again.

My shop has art dolls, jewelry and crocheted items and patterns created by me and pin up art and illustration created by my husband.
I'm hoping to get my shop up and running again.

Now I offer handmade backpacks, hair scrunchies, beanies, headbands and sewing patterns.

In the future I would like to offer bags, purses, cases, hats, warmers, tops and skirts.

I've been a buyer on Etsy for many years, but just opened up shop at the first of the year. I sell handmade crochet hats, dolls/amigurumi, as well as misc. crochet baby gifts.
I am so happy to find a team that is centered around learning how to better your shop, rather than self promotion! I have been working hard on improving my tags and whatnot, and I think they have come a long way, but I know there is room for improvement.

I joined Etsy in 2010, but just opened my shop this past November 2013. I came across Mary's very useful thread about SEO myths, and came here to learn more and decided to join this team.
I sell vintage home decor, my favorite area of vintage is serving and entertaining items especially bar ware. I have also been a floral designer most of my adult life and I continue to pursue creative endeavors .I also have a shop on Artfire by the same name.

I am 6 months new to Etsy and trying to figure out how everything works. I am a constant tinkerer and just built my own CNC Router machine. Now I am looking for a way to pay for my endless hobbies and projects! I have started working with CO2 lasers as well and having a great time. I started seriously running my shop a little over a year ago. In that time I have learned so much, but I have a ways to go.

At the moment I have been perfecting listings for a body of work focusing on map prints. That is a really large project, as I started with one listing that acted as an index for all the maps I had available. Now I listing each map individually. Large undertaking!

But, since I am making money off the time and energy I have invested- I have to keep learning more and putting myself on the right track to be really successful.
