hey Shawna, love the vintage dresses & not meaning to be a pushy jerk, but...
a modern size XXL is more in the 37" - 40" waist range (a 32" waist = size 14 = a modern Large or, maybe, XL). Thus, a 32" waist dress is totally "plus size", but maybe not so much "XXL", you know?

Just sucks to search for truly "XXL" vintage and keep finding prettypretty frocks that will never fit. Sigh.

Sorry about that Lucy. I guess I'm going off of more of a modern size large women's clothing. I wear a Medium in modern sizes and I have a 27" waist. Since the bust size was a 42 on the skylark dress I condiered it an XL. My friend who wears a size 16 was able to fit in the blue skylark dress no problem. I think it could fit a 34" waist if you were to wear it snug. I hear you on the pretty dresses. My sister is a bigger gal and I'm always making dresses for her because bigger ladies love pretty too!
