For information. From January 1, 2018 Washington state (zip code WA) residents are required by law to pay sales tax on online purchases regardless of the seller's location. A US buyer tried to purchase AUD 100.00 worth of items from my Etsy shop and used my coupon code FREEDELIVERY, but it didn't work. She emailed me, and I sent her another coupon with free delivery for the same value, but it also didn't work. I checked my shipping settings and confirmed that I do not have the US FREE DELIVERY GUARANTEE turned on. I contacted Etsy support, but they couldn't find anything wrong either. I'm not sure why Etsy is preventing US buyers from using my coupons, but I'm curious to know if anyone else has experienced this issue.

Hi there! I see Etsy did not charge the VAT on an order to Guernsey in the UK. Will the be signed for the VAT on import and a processing fee? Thanks!
