Hi guys, I thought it'll be nice to have a thread for just random ramblings so we can all get to know each other!

So, lets start with, what do you all buy on etsy? I just received a soap order, waiting for another 2. Looking for body butter and solid lotion bar, any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

I just got the word that the paperwork and insurance is all complete and my name is now officially on the national lung transplant list.

Now I wait for a phone call....

talking of waiting... my grandbaby was supposed to arrive last weekend but nothing happened. Daughter-in-law has gone in to be induced today so in a few days time I will be a granny! yay!

nope. we went over to brighton in the hope she'd arrive in time for visiting hours, but still not arrived. refreshing pc constantly looking for messages!

we gave up and went to bed in the end, son phoned just after midnight! All is well, and baby is called Lois. Can't wait for visiting time at 3pm! mind you, we'll be fighting for a space as lots of extended family are down from scotland.

Congrats Nifty! Lois, that is a name I haven't heard in a long time, certainly better than Mystique.
All the nieces and nephews in our family have odd and unusual names: Aubree, Tatum, Davan, Asia, Macaul, Thel. The most regular name is Jordan.

3 babies are due in the fall, it will be interesting to hear what their names will be.

Congrats on the new baby Nifty! Lois is such a pretty name. Hope Mother and baby are doing well.

I got the call! I was listed on the registry for my transplant on the 20 july and on the 25 july the call came. I had a double lung transplant on Sunday July 26th. The first few days were kind of rough as I had a breathing tube in my throat and a feeding tube in my nose but once those were gone it was much better. I only spent 4 days in the ICU and then was moved to the Step Down floor, and home in a total of 17 days. I feel great! There's no pain from the incision but there are some nerves that were cut that are giving me some trouble.

But I'm up and running but not 100% speed yet.

Crochetgal well done to you, take it easy you will be up and about before you can say brand new lungs how cool is that? I didn't know they could do 2 at once brave you.
I have some sad news now, my mum passed away at the weekend. I have been toing and frowing to the UK it seems like all year. The last time was to say goodbye. Although I still spoke to her on the phone most days until last week. They held the phone by her ear and told me she could hear me. Sad days ahead but a release for her. Off to the UK on Thursday had a hell of a job getting a flight. Nice to be back here with you all. Hope you are all well. I'm off to read your old posts and catch up now.
