No, it's not admin. It's just me. I grabbed this name because, well, it was there! and just as generic as the forum titles are...and, if the goddesses shine on us, will be for a while longer.

This is just meant to be a gathering place that welcomes all.

What I don't understand, is how we will be able to fit under the new wings, and what we have to do to get that presence.

I know there are a couple of other "teams" for everyone -- I joined one. But, folks, it's all in the name if we want to "game" the system, you know?

I want each and every one of you to know how much I value your words, and your lurkings. I love people I don't agree with -- they open my horizons, make me mad, and just make the world a wonderful place with everything in it. I loved that about the old forum. I could read something I disagree with, and steam, then vent...and I loved that it was there!

i have checked out the off etsy forum. i think it was a good well thought out attempt to keep what we have in the forums. however i gave up when i couldn't figure out how to add my avatar and all the animated smiley faces gave me a headache i like this better :)

like i said before having to learn a whole new site, frightens and confuses me more than having to join teams.

I joined it too, but on-site is really the most convenient & useful. Newbies & lurkers hunting down some off-site forum is a lot less likely in my opinion.

As for adding your av--it needs to be hosted on a website somewhere, then you need to go to your profile page and click the "modify" link and put the web page address of the image in:

I wonder if this welcome page wouldn't just serve as a forum? Since it's public, all should be able to see it without joining, right? Then if they like what they see, they can join. So what's the difference? At least in the way this one is set up, thanks to our "Captain".

Morning all! Just joined yesterday. I'm glad that this group exists. While I'm involved with other teams I only did this because teams were closing and how would I reach the community if they all closed. The ones that I wanted to be in are already closed. How is this helpful? How does this help the etsy seller community?

I wonder about huge teams where you don't get to know people or their interests. I love chatting and picking people's brains on topics I never thought about before. This place seems welcoming enough, I hope it all continues.
