No, it's not admin. It's just me. I grabbed this name because, well, it was there! and just as generic as the forum titles are...and, if the goddesses shine on us, will be for a while longer.

This is just meant to be a gathering place that welcomes all.

What I don't understand, is how we will be able to fit under the new wings, and what we have to do to get that presence.

I know there are a couple of other "teams" for everyone -- I joined one. But, folks, it's all in the name if we want to "game" the system, you know?

I want each and every one of you to know how much I value your words, and your lurkings. I love people I don't agree with -- they open my horizons, make me mad, and just make the world a wonderful place with everything in it. I loved that about the old forum. I could read something I disagree with, and steam, then vent...and I loved that it was there!

LOL! Etsy made me do it! they wouldn't just let me change my name, nooooo. now i have to be 2 personalities. not to mention the critics who said i shouldn't have my arts and crafts in the same shop. whatever, at least the avatars look similar to cut down on the confusion :)

crochet, you mean you can't link to etsy through it? i joined the unofficial etsy forum to, but i didn't like it. it was a little confusing, and i'm not sure how you could peak at peoples shops while chit chatting. i like doing that. that's how i found my daughters hat.

No, I mean that I can't open the pages on the forum that was set up outside Etsy without major upgrades to my computer hardware. Many websites are not totally compatible

Who told you that? I've got wearable art, handcrafted soap dishes, yarns, and display mannequins all in the one shop. I don't have time (or the patience) to run more than one shop!!

If you use your sections wisely you can do anything with one shop.

But the final decision is up to you.

ug, EVERYONE!!! "if you sell oil paintings, who's going to buy a purse from you?" "focus, focus,focus, your shop is all over the place!" bla, bla, bla! that isn't why i have 2 shops though. i started here as a buyer without really knowing what Etsy was, so i just made my name the same as my email so i could remember. once i started selling my art here, i didn't want the name of my shop to be pnkrckmommy :) so befor i got in too deep with lots of feedback etc. i just opened the second shop and left all my miscilaneous stuff in the other shop.

Good morning everyone! After checking my email & my activity feed, I usually go straight to the forums. Starting today, I'm coming here first.

Although it will suck when the forums go, this could be a blessing in disguise. A chance to get to know some people I only see in passing over on the forums.

I hope this doesn't become like other team forums, though. I'm on two other teams & they're great but the forum posts are so few & far between it's hard to get a conversation rolling. Post - wait two hours - post - wait two hours....

I went ahead & registered for the off site forum, but it is confusing. Although they have it set up with the same forum categories, which is cool. I find it tricky to use - it feels too unfamiliar. And hardly anyone is using their avatar (I couldn't figure out how to get mine up) it's like whispering in a darkened room.

Sorry to run off at the mouth - just hoping to jump-start a conversation.

Hey everyone! Man Runz your last paragraph just really sums up what the forums have been for me over the years!

The problem with a team forum like this is I suspect that the members will be pretty like minded which doesn't facilitate learning and seeing other prespectives..just a thought.

LOL, another thing...ya'll realize this team is now on your Profile page. I honestly didn't thing one more rabbit hole could fit on that page but I guess I was wrong:) I've long given up any misconception that that page had anything to do with me anyway:)

Really nice to see familiar faces. Can't say I don't feel a bit like a sheep having been herded by Etsy into our little pen here. but alas it is better than being lost from the flock I suppose:)
