what's the best host for blogs?

hey everyone! i'm so happy to have found this team. i'm really interested in starting a blog up again (i blogged two years ago but had to stop because of classes and such). I used to use blogspot but I was wondering which host brought in more potential readers these days. I know tumblr's super popular but I just worry that it isn't that good for word-heavy blogs. I'd love any and all advice from those more experienced!

I am on blogger (www.veiledhaven.com), it is very easy to use and there are many tutorials on how to modify your site.

Many people do use wordpress though which is in php. The difference is that php allows you to store files better and also is more versatile (more effects possible without compromising speed).

I recommend blogger if you want a quick and easy setup. I recommend wordpress if you want something more versatile and are willing to learn more about php programming. I recommend tumblr if you want to spread pictures around
