LinkWithin blog widget

Does anyone use the LinkWithin blog wigdet that shows you "Posts you may also like" at the bottom of your posts? I tried putting that on my blog but I noticed two problems.

First, it shows the same three posts at the bottom of every post (if that makes sense....)

Also, the placement of the widget ends up on top of comments when you look at the page with the comments on it.

It's hard to explain, I'm not sure I'm making sense. But I look at other peoples blogs and they all look fine. I took the widget off mine but I'd really like to use it somehow.

Anyone else have problems like this? Thanks!

I remember that for the first day or two, until it crawls your blog, that the same suggestions come up.

Where did you get the widget? I use Blogger, is it in there? I'm just starting to blog so all this is new to me.

Re: LinkWithin blog widget

I cannot get mine to show four posts no matter what I do. It always shows three. I've removed it and re-added it and still the results don't change. I think I have one blog post where mine shows the same three posts. It's weird. But once it's crawled your blog it should show more options.

LeafandTenril, you can add the widget at http://www.linkwithin.com

Re: LinkWithin blog widget

You should be able to check the CSS code to fix the placement problems. Go to Edit HTML and click "Expand Widget Templates."

At the bottom you'll find the LinkWithin code and the code for each line of your post footer. Just move it up or down depending on where you want it.

Re: LinkWithin blog widget

When I used to use Blogger, I used LinkWithin with no problems. It didn't work so well in WordPress, however, so I switched to nRelate instead. If you use WordPress, you can search for this plugin, which works very well. For a while, the same 3 images showed up, just as it does with LinkWithin, but after a while this changed. Make sure your posts have tags when you use a tool like this.

I also can only get it to show three posts as well! So there has to be an issue with the widget's code, and not me right? :]
