I need ideas.

I just started a blog for my new Etsy team and need Ideas for post. I already plan to post our member of the week and team treasuries. But I would like to have at least 3-4 post a week to keep the blog active. But I do not want it to go stale with just the member of the week and treasuries. Any suggestions would be great.

What kind of blog are you wanting to have? You need to first pick a direction. Will you do crafts, lifestyle, family, diy, fashion, etc.?

Well it is a blog to promote Etsy's All Mixed Up Shop team. i want to promote my team and it's members. The teams member make a little of everything hence the name all mixed up shop team. I have seen other teams blog and many of them rarely post which seems to me a bit boring. So I mostly looking for creative ways to promote members and the team as a whole.

I like to put a little bit of everything in my blog. Crafting, my life and sometimes funny videos or stories about the boyfriend. I figure if one person doesn't like the entry, someone else just might.

what about an inspiration post or a tutorial for a certain craft or perhaps a spotlight on one craft. Members could then contribute content even if they aren't the feautred member that week. THey ar emor elikely to chat about it too!

See if you can find a common thread between a few shops and then showcase how they each present that commonality. You can pick a colour, a material (glass, stone, ribbon, lace, clay, etc.), a trend (say, recycling/repurposing), etc.

If there are no commonalities, make one. Give the team a challenge to make something _____ so you can post about it.
- something some colour
- something with some medium or material
- something inspired by: the sky, animals, an element (fire, water, etc,), a place (be broad: "Medditerranian", "Egyptian"), an era (Victorian, roaring 20's, gothic, old west, futuristic), etc.

You'll be amazed the variety that comes from a bunch of different artists and a single inspiration. Hopefully, your readers will be amazed too!

Thank you for all the suggestions. They are all great, I can start making a rough schedule for posting. If anything else comes to mind please share. It is great to have extra ideas going for those day you get stuck, like I am/was! Thanks again.

Ooo - ask your team members to take pictures of their craftspaces. "Studio Space" posts always get great traffic.

interviews! ask some funny questions, some specific stuff...maybe see if anyone will do a tutorial once in a while.
