Re: How to Add a Signature to Your Posts | Option 1

Thank you! I just got a signature set up on my blog last week but I am having trouble with it. These instructions you gave are basically the same as what I followed...

Can anyone help me with why my signature block is showing up below my LinkWithin "You might also like..." images? When I moved the code for the signature up a little in the html, it showed up in the right spot but with a box around it. Any ideas would be much appreciated!

You page source shows that you have the signature code inserted above the "post-footer-line post-footer-line-1"

It should be immediately after. I'm in a hurry right now but I'll come back in a bit to look more at your code. You could try getting rid of LinkWithin and re-adding it. It might fix it.

I had it originally after that line of code but when I do that, the signature shows up even lower (below the dashed line, just above "posted by Tricia").

I think you might be right about deleting LinkWithin, adding the signature code in the right spot, then re-adding LinkWithin... I'll give it a try and let you know how it goes.

Thanks!

Cool - suppose I will have to scan my handwritten name in and try this sometime.

Sweeterthansweets, you can also try adding the signature code right after the code that looks something like: <p><data:post.body/></p>

Oh, that does put it in the right place... but now I have that weird box around it again. I did save it as a PNG with transparent background but I'll start over and try again tomorrow.
Thanks!

It has a box because you CSS code makes everything on your blog have a box around it. You'll need to format it to have no border.

Thanks for this. It's something I always wondered about, but never looked around to find out how to do. =)

Re: How to Add a Signature to Your Posts | Option 1

Okay, I wanted to follow-up on this in case anyone else was having the same issue I was. I figured it out, mostly. On LinkWithin's FAQ page, they have a code you can insert at the point where you want the images/links to actually show up:

<div class="linkwithin_div"></div>

So I inserted this code just after the signature code and now it's in the right place. The only weird thing now is that that dashed line is just above my signature but at least my signature is immediately after each post now. =)

Thanks again!
