Blogspot error 503 Service Unavailable

I've been getting the error 503 (service unavailable) message on blogger since yesterday.

Then I refresh the page and get my blog. Views are down dramatically.

Does anyone more tech-minded than me know what this is all about? Is it a service wide problem or did I mess something up...?

I was getting that yesterday as well - I haven't been to blogger yet this morning so I don't know if that's still the case. I'm guessing it's a site issue

I saw some brief errors when visiting some blogger blogs, but when I refreshed the page everything was fine.

Not sure what's going on. Maybe check with the status center and see if there is some updating or bugs going on?

I have been having error 503 codes for the last 24 hours, lucky me, just when I was completely rebuilding two of my sites.
I just kept refreshing and re saving, always a good idea to copy paste your article before publishing, just in case an error wipes you entry.
It seems to be system wide, I'm curious if it's something to do with blogs that have a www.something,com address instead of www.something.blogger.com, i only seem to be having problems with the two that have a custom domain name.

just popping in to say that I posted to my blog earlier this morning and didn't seem to have any problems - maybe the issue has been resolved?

It seems to be getting better, still a bit slow loading after changes, but at least it isn't error 503 every other time you make a change!

Hi,
I have been getting this error on and off for the last week. Often when I try to go directly to my blog url rather than through the blogger dashboard. It hasn't affected me when I have doing a post though.

Has anyone found out a reason why yet?

The same thing has been happening to my blog. I'm sure it has to do with that "Blogger is getting a new look in April. Upgrade Now." warning that's on the top of the Dashboard.

I got that a LOT day before yesterday. I refreshed and it would work. Seems to be fine today.

They are switching everyone over to the new Blogger, so that's probably the cause.

This is a very popular topic all over the internet, and while google is not mentioning it at all (why would they admit an upgrade causing problems) It does seem to be related.

And yes the new look of blogger is going live for everyone, and is likely causing temporary problems.

It is always hard to lose readership due to carrier errors, but at the same time, blogger is free, and as such subject to problems.

Hopefully this is resolved quickly, and doesnt cause too large a problem for anyone.

I upgraded to the new dashboard some time back. I have a custom domain for mine but haven't had issues since that one day.

@Mitch Thanks, that clears it up a bit for me, I was wondering why nothing came up when I searched in google! Duh!

I do use the new dashboard already, but I see that it'll be glitchy for a while as they crossover the whole system.

Oh well, c'est la vie!

PS: I was a bit sad about it as the Etsy Stock Take is looking a bit sorry for itself this week!
