Revamping, Redirecting

I haven't been able to work out in my garage, where my workshop is, for over a year now. It's just too hard for me to get out there. I was driving my car around to the back where my garage is, but I feel pretty isolated out there and I'm afraid I'm going to fall. I have already fallen at least twice this year and both times it was just because I am unable to lift up my feet as high as I used to to walk properly.

Etsy allows me to live in my own little world, since I can no longer function properly in the big world, nor do I fit in. The struggle to try to fit in became too overwhelming. But, this is a place where I can do what I can, when I can, and pretty much how I can. It's also a place where I can reach out to people, and lend a helping hand, or a bit of advice, when needed. It gives me a sense of purpose, and allows me to focus on the things that are important to me, without being selfish. :-)

Wow, Bettie - that is how I have felt - I think its why I'm so sad to have to cut back or take a break from the shop :(

I recently turn down a good promotion in a corporate good job because this was not going to permit me too much time with my husband and my 5 years old. I live in Texas since 2011, where I moved, leaving friends and family in Italy, to follow my Love here. I feel the same, I feel I do not fit in too much outside because I am too much italian and I do not fit no more there because I became slightly "texan". Maybe opening an Etsy shop and was not a brilliant idea, but I do enjoy so much more passing time in my back yard and garage and making people smiling with a simple bar of soap or sharing what I learned from my grandma. Bettie, I think that if something like your art makes you happy and you really want to do it, you need to follow your heart and go for it! I hope all of you have a good starting new year! ciao :)

Hi my people hop you are all well.my name is tamsir i am from senegal in one of the village here.but i stay in kaolack town .i open this shop for my village in my idea i suppose to try to help them all i mean the pregnant women and the childrens ...there havnt hospitale no water purification .and childrens are not registered i did like to do something for my village thats why i struggle my best to open the shop and safe money for them and try to do something .i am poor but i love do something for people who needeed .sending love and blessings

Okay.....here it is 2019.  I've temporarily closed my shop while I reimagine it.  I'm thinking of going back to stained glass items.  The mosaics are expensive and time consuming to make and therefore more expensive.  Hoping to get some stained glass done and get my shop reopened soon.  Forums are interesting......
