Until recently I've basically exclusively used my Instragram as a way to post images of my forest walks when I go to collect all my specimens for my jewelry; so, not really promotion, just a nice supplement. I've wanted to start actually promoting there recently, though, and don't really know where to start.
Like, I've watched other Etsians on Instagram, I've read Instagram's little "guide for business owners" thing, and I've read Etsy's Seller Handbook, but I'm still not 100% on what would work. So I wanted to know, do you have a special way of promoting? Any tricks you utilize? Schedules you adhere to?
Is it good to inundate the post with tags to ensure you're found, or just use a few, tactful tags? Are Instagram filters a good idea, or do they take away from the work? Should the pictures be only taken on the phone, or post higher quality ones from a digital camera imported onto the phone? Post pre-emptive "hey I'm listing all of these things later today" pictures, or post a dedicated promotional post for each new listing you're putting up? Etc. etc. etc.
