What items in your shop have been inspired by your reading? Or if you have many, what are based off of your favorite books?
I don't have that many literary soaps at the moments, but I do have:
I think I'm gonna love it here. I feel like I've found my people.
I haven't had a lot of time to create lately, so I've been listing mostly some vintage paper goods I need to move out. But almost 100% of my handmade cards, etc are literature based. I've posted some Washington Irving cards recently and have a huge stack of Shakespeare cards to list.
I started a couple new sections in my shop! A "Jane Austen Inspired" section and a "Harry Potter Inspired" section! Here are a couple from the Austen inspired bit :)
Haven't finished it yet, but I'm working now on a collage which sort of deconstructs the relationship of Alice Liddell & Lewis Carroll -- so that she's the one taking pictures of him! Will share if I ever get it done!
Hello! I've just started up a shop and am new to the group (but not to Etsy or calligraphy)... and I love the concept behind this team. I can already tell I'm going to love visiting the threads. :)
I have an actual book, a chapbook of poetry, in my shop. It's just the first of many more to come. I'm working on the next one. This first one is about nature - anybody who likes poetry, haiku and nature would like it. makes a great Christmas gift.
The inside story: Bookworms are lonely warriors. Their activity may be considered annoying by their sibling, roomate or partner, therefore they can't help experimenting the right light source functioning at night. Bookworms have the ability to enjoy reading, drinking and eating at the same time. According to my experience a mug of tea or cocoa is the best company for reading. Bookworms are happy at the end of each exam period when they get back their favourite place at the library. And they don't fail the challenge of reading several books simultaneously as reading a crime story with small vocabulary can be refreshing while reading The Karamazovs.
Well, it would be fair to say that all of my Enchanted Times zines are based on books, as they all contain revised versions of traditional fairy tales:
I just joined to team and have started drawing portraits of my favourite book characters. At the moment I have Magwitch from Great Expectations in my shop and am working on Miss Havisham, Heathcliff and Frankenstein.
