Printing Shipping Labels Without Sending a Notification

I am new to Direct Checkout. I only signed up a week ago and I went to print my first shipping label for something that I will be shipping tomorrow. I wanted to get it printed so I can have it ready even though I am not shipping it yet. It seems to me that I can't print the label without marking the order as shipped and sending an email notification. Is this correct? I don't want my customer thinking that I shipped it today when in actuality, I won't be shipping it until tomorrow. Is there any way to print a shipping label and then mark the order as shipped and sending the notification later? Thanks!

Congrats on the sale :o) The short answer is no....

Printing the label and the marked as shipped can't be separated.

However,

You do have an option to write a note in the shipping notification so you could note the date you will be dropping it at your PO in the notice to your buyer.

I almost always print my label the day before actual shipping. In addition to manually noting the actual shipping time/date in the message to buyer text block, the actual invoice receipt automatically specifies the exact ship date (under the shipping method and delivery speed ETA) - so anyone clicking on the package tracking link should see that info right next to it. ~ Ryn

Thanks for the responses! Good advice, I hadn't thought of making a note of it in the notification. That's what I will do!

You also have a three day window to choose from, I choose tomorrow's date when I print my labels unless I am going to the post office today
