New Order Data for your shop!

Hello everyone,

We have some good news for you! You can now download the order data for your shop in two different ways.

In addition to the existing CSV reports, you now have access to your data at an order level. This includes payment method for all orders, along with card processing fees and bank deposit amounts for direct checkout orders.

You can find this information by going to Your Shop and clicking "Options" on the left side under the Shop Settings heading. From here, click on the Download Data tab. Select "Orders" from the CSV type drop down menu and your time frame. After downloading the file, you can import the data into a spreadsheet program, such as Excel or Google docs.

For those of you who use Outright, we have tested the new CSV, and it appears to work as it should. You'll need to follow Outright's instructions and examples for the column headings before uploading (which you can find here: https://secure.outright.com/company_csvs/new).

We encourage all of you to go check this out and let us know if you have any questions or concerns!

Re: New Order Data for your shop!

Thanks.

Here are the issues/bugs I have found so far:

I very much need to have a "download open orders" link on the Sold page. I don't want the whole month every time. I do want the whole month when doing sales tax reports but not when importing my shipping to Paypal.

There is a problem in that the Date Shipped column is not always filled out. Only 8 out of 23 orders had a shipped date. But I have only 5 unshipped, so 18 orders are missing this data. Since I only want to import open orders, I need a ship date to sort by, since there is no "download open orders"
feature. It is not related to me using the internal "add shipping notification" feature.

An additional problem is that the shipping country needs to be US, not United States, when importing to Paypal shipping.

Some customers do not enter a last name. So those will error out when importing on Paypal. I frequently have orders that enter only first names (usually their company name) and so anything with a blank last name is causing an error.

There is a "number of items" column, and it is incorrect. It always says 1.

Found this today - big improvement!

I agree about being able to download by specific dates - not just the whole month.

Re: New Order Data for your shop!

Lisa, the issues you reported regarding ship date and number of items should be fixed.

Regarding the US versus United States as well as last names, we will look into that, but for right now these will have to be manually changed.

Re: New Order Data for your shop!

This is a great start - Thank you! But what I really need is to know what orders/totals were included BY DEPOSIT.

Absolutely need a custom date range.

For now I have to download by month. Remove the Paypal orders (keeping only Credit Card orders) and then try to figure out which orders were included in my deposits.

That way I can record my deposit in quicken and get the correct totals for fees and sales tax in addition to Gross Sales.

Just including a column for DEPOSIT DATE would really help because then I could group the orders by Deposit Date and get the totals I need that way.

Re: New Order Data for your shop!

I use Square for my show sales. When they make a lump sum deposit I can log into my account and view/download just the transactions that were included in that deposit. This would be VERY useful.

Re: New Order Data for your shop!

I just want to clarify something -- a custom date range is fine but I want *open orders* as well, which may not correspond to a date range. I do not always ship in order. Hope that makes sense.

Re: New Order Data for your shop!

The zip codes for areas in the Northeast that start with zero - the zero is getting dropped when importing. Paypal will import the order but gives an error for zip codes with 4 numbers when trying to ship. Have to use paypal's 'edit ship address' to add the zero.

Re: New Order Data for your shop!

How do I get a report for the Shop Payment Account only? I would like to be able to print a monthly sales report for the orders that were paid by DC ONLY without the PayPal orders. And also the report should include the monthly total for DC fees.
Please simplify this.

...........

Until this is resolved we should be able to do a quick "find and replace" in the spreadsheet program before importing to paypal, yes?

That would be a quick way to change from United States to US.
