How long does it take for the funds

to be refunded to the customer when paying with DC?

When you cancel an order it shows with a status of Fully refunded, but I assume that it represents the Etsy fees refund and not necessarily that that the client has got the money back on their credit card.

This is important information that we need to pass on to customers when a cancellation is agreed as we will be certainly contacted if this is not done immediately.
We need to manage peoples expectations.

I can't for the life of me remember where I read it...but I recall the refund being 3-5 days.

Etsy would process the refund and then from that point it depends on how long the bank/cc takes to credit the customer.

When I did a refund it took about 3 days. You have to refund the amount from your back office, then cancel the sale.

Hi TodoPapel.

You can let your buyers know that it typically takes 2 to 5 business days for the refund to be reflected in their bank account or card statement.

It sounds like you already have but, to refund a buyer's credit card payment, click Your Shop > Sold Orders. Click to view the receipt, then select Manage Order > Issue a refund. You can issue either a partial or full refund.

Once you issue the refund, Etsy will send you and the buyer a notification email.
