Direct Checkout Deposits
Is there a way to have deposits made directly into our Paypal accounts instead of a checking or savings account?

Re: Direct Checkout Deposits
Not that I know of since payPal isn't a real bank with routing numbers etc.

Re: Direct Checkout Deposits
The whole point is to move away from paypal, I think. It's a bit hard to manage with paypal and direct checkout customers for me.
Especially in the shipping area. I like organized records and I don't have them right now! :)

I just joined this. So, when someone uses the direct checkout we have to use either Stamps.com or go to the P.O. Seems like a little more work than using Paypal. But I will wait and see.

Re: Direct Checkout Deposits
I was using paypal.com/shipnow but just signed up for stamps.com and love it.
I just sent an international package without going to the post office, love it. You can import etsy into stamps.com so you don't have to enter the information manually

Re: Direct Checkout Deposits
I'll have to check out Stamps.com but isn't there a fee associated with that?

Re: Direct Checkout Deposits
Hi Mary,
To answer your original question, no, we're not able to deposit funds from your Shop Payment Account in to your PayPal account. There's no way to route payments to a PayPal account. Sorry!

I do have Stamps.com, but I was having trouble with it finding my printer all the time. I got a new computer and printer and I have no problem with it now. There is a monthly charge for the service,

Sherry truiit: You took the words right out of my mouth. I'm happy to try anything that will assist in weening me from Paypal. It would be nice to see them phased out. If they were an actual bank my feeling and experiences might have been different. I was just bold enough to remove the their link from my checkout this week. I really don't see it being a problem. Especially since I'm just starting out. If a customer specifically requests Paypal, I'd probably add it for them, though.
I writing this as an "edit post". I saw that the stamp.com characters changed to a link after I submitted my initial post. I thought links would only be created if they were within the site? I, of course, didn't use any html. I simply typed stamps.com.
By the way, the United States Post Office has introduced desktop shipping management software. It supports data import and batch printing. I'm still in the test phase with it. We'll see. I also use stamps.com.
