Did you make a Shop Announcement for Direct Checkout?

For anyone who has begun Direct Checkout, did you make a shop announcement for your customers? I just added dc today and am waiting for the bank confirmation. I went ahead and announced it in my shop, but I don't know how many people will see it. If so, did you put it at the very top? Does it matter?

I not only announced it at the very top I'm offering free shipping the rest of March for those who use it. Since I began accepting it almost a week ago I've had great success with it as buyers are more then willing to use it. Direct checkout is a win win for everyone. We just need to be a little patient and lead our buyers to it. Long time buyers may not become aware of it right away but there are new members joining etsy everyday and they will become aware of it from day one. This will help our sales as long as we respect it. We need to show our buyers that it is just as safe and that is easily done buy getting the promised paid for product out the door asap no excuses. I personally have had shockingly bad luck buying items on this site and heard every excuse in the book as to why things didn't ship. My advice would be to definitely mention the option to as many buyers as possible.

I'm not going to mention it at all. Most of my customers are using it anyway. I want them to make the choice when they are ready to purchase.

@FlyingFelt, I'm sorry you've had bad luck purchasing on etsy. I've been here almost 5 years and have purchased hundreds of items. I have never had a bad experience. Most have been excellent.

I didn't mention it when I got it. I did update my policies and forms of payment accepted.

@sherrytruitt I have to believe that I just happened to have chosen the wrong sellers at the wrong time. I've only ordered from 3 sellers and 2 never delivered. The third delivered the first time I ordered but not the second. weird huh?
