Change in Shipping Date

Forgive me if this topic has been brought up in the past. I did search, but was not able to find any posts with my search criteria.

Today, I marked 2 DC purchases as shipped just before I left to take the packages to the USPS ONLY to be reminded that today is Veteran's Day! How could I forget that, since I am a Veteran? But, never-the-less - I did.

With paypal purchases I can "undo" that date, but not with DC. Is there something in the works that may allow this in the future?

I've contacted both buyers to let them know I had forgotten today was a Federal Holiday, but just being able to "undo" would be so much easier in the future.

Any thoughts?

This would be great... I did the same thing today. I just ended up convoing the buyer and explaining and we had a good chuckle because she had done the same thing BUT If I had been sending out a bunch today (as I am planning to tomorrow) that would have been a pain to convo all the buyers and explain :)

I totally forgot that when Veteran's Day falls on Sunday the PO is closed on Monday

oops. I did that with 12 orders today. But I dropped them in the box (paid with Etsy labels), so they'll ship out first thing in the am.

Can't tell you how many times I've done that same thing!!! Aaaargh!!! Glad I'm not the only one.

Maybe Etsy (and PayPal too for that matter) could set their date options to exclude Sundays and postal holidays?

As far as I know the only way to correct it is to request a refund, and then print a new label, with a message to the buyer explaining why they're receiving two notifications.
