Cancelled a sale and refunded

So, I issued a refund, and cancelled the sale. The item still shows up under "sold items". I thought when you cancelled and refunded, it would be taken out of the sold section?

Yes, I relisted it and that's fine. But should it still be there under "sold"?

It takes about 48 hours for the cancellation to go through, has it been that long?

I also just refunded an hr ago a transaction and the item is in the 'sold' status. But how do I cancel the transaction also? Do I even have to cancel it?

Celia, My cancellation/refund took place on the 21st. Today is the 24th and the listing is still there showing in sold items. This was via direct checkout so my shop payment account shows the refund was taken out of my credit card. I don't know how to tell if the selling fee was given back to me or not?

Rosanne, As I remember when I did the refund, it asked me for the reason I was giving the refund and I choose,"seller and buyer agree to this". Or something like that. I should have paid more attention but there were choices you had to pick, like item not as described and some more, are you giving a total refund or partial, is the refund for overage in postage paid, etc. I believe that this process cancelled the sale as well as gave the refund. Like it was all in one.

Oh, I just checked by clicking on the receipt and here's what it said....

So, I guess that means my fee was refunded. And the sale was cancelled automatically. It is confusing because the item is still showing up under sold items. I guess that doesn't change?

Showing up under sold will change. I've had it take 5 days, or more, lately to be removed from my sold items. I find it usually happens the same day my fees are refunded.

Thanks Deb, it wouldn't bother me if it stayed there since I already relisted the item but it will be interesting to see if that changes in a few days.

I dont think it does change...I have a cancelled and refunded item from december that still shows at the bottom of my sold items :/

Same thing, my canceled and refunded order is still showing too. It's been a month.
