3-day hold still in effect

Per Evelyn's original post regarding the 3-day hold:
"Eligibility is based on the date of your first sale on Etsy. To be able to take advantage of the reduction in hold time, your first sale will need to be more than 90 days ago."

This shop meets the requirements, but we are still experiencing the 3-day hold. Help from Admin. would be much appreciated!

I don't have the hold anymore, maybe you should convo one of the team leaders if your's should have been lifted.

they generally respond quickly

Re: 3-day hold still in effect

Can you just click on the option to make the deposit sooner in your "shop payment account"? If you don't do this, then you will wait for the three days.

Re: 3-day hold still in effect

I just started and sold 3 items. From the moment I see it's sold, I have to wait 3 days from the oder to show up in my shop payment account. So I hit deposit earlier (Oct. 11) and now my email says I have to wait ANOTHER 3 DAYS for it to go to my bank account. Why so long? Really about a week. Not liking it so much. :(

Re: 3-day hold still in effect

Michelle,
To have the 3 day wait waved, you would need to have been selling for at least 90 days. So, because your first sale was Sept 24th you will have that wait. I just don't understand why it is extended for another 3 days because you asked for it sooner! That doesn't make sense. It should be 3 days from the day the item is marked "shipped", no longer as far as I understand.

Re: 3-day hold still in effect

Mary, I mean the funds are being held for 3 days after each sale before they are even available for deposit. This shop meets all the criteria to reduce that to a one-day hold -- but as of today, the 3-day is still in effect for us.

Lauren is right, I need to convo the team leaders.

Bill,
Did you try clicking on the option to have the deposit sooner? You probably did. If so, you can contact Camilla Velasquez who is the Director of the payments team.

You're not alone. I'll get in touch with them, too, I guess.

Re: 3-day hold still in effect

Just to update this thread -- I sent a convo to Evelyn, and she kindly removed the hold on our DC account payments. It seems our shop was not picked up by the "sweep." Hope this info is helpful to others who may have been passed over.

There seems to be confusion about "holds."
3-day hold on orders -- you get paid, but the money is not available for deposit for three days. This is only required for shops that have less than 90 days since their first sale.

Deposit sooner button -- has nothing to do with the 3-day hold. This simply indicates that there may be an earlier bank deposit day for funds already in your shop payment account.

Thanks to Evelyn for her help!

Re: 3-day hold still in effect

I am absolutely thrilled that the 3 day hold has been removed for the shops that having been using DC for 90 days. It is so much more convenient now!

Re: 3-day hold still in effect

Do you need to use DC for 90 days before the 3 day hold is removed??

Re: 3-day hold still in effect

Hi Bonnie!

Thanks for your post. To clarify, it's that you must have had a sale through ANY payment earlier than 90 days ago.

So if the first sale in your shop was before July 17, 2012, you qualify for the 1-day hold.

Please note this is on a shop-by-shop basis; we do not account for sales that sellers have made in their other shops.

Hope this helps to clarify this for you!

Best,
Evelyn
