Print your own or have it shipped?

I recently opened a new shop & am torn between having everything where you can print your own or have the prints shipped to you.
I decided for now to have it where everything is done digitally but I'm afraid people are getting scared away with the thought of having to print their own.
I have a good printer but I am SO busy with my kids and the shop already that I don't know how well I would do with having to ship things out daily.

Thoughts??

Re: Print your own or have it shipped?

I have the same concern. My store is all digital right now due to currently not being able to handle the printing shipping side. I feel that if I offered prints my sales would increase. I hope to expand into prints toward the end of the year. I would like to offer both ideally and link them to each other.

Re: Print your own or have it shipped?

I have seen various shops for all sorts of products that say in their policies they only ship on specific days of the week. If you're really busy and can't ship out on random days to fulfill orders, consider having a consistent "shipping day" or two when you will ship all orders, ie: Mondays and Wednesdays. So, if you do decide to offer physical prints just make it really clear to people which days you ship on. ;)

Thanks for the advice! I'm thinking this week I will change some things around in my shop so that I can offer both shipped prints and digital downloads!
