How can I improve

Hello Team :). I am struggling with product photographs. I don't have an eye for it at all 😳 because my cases have so many colors and textures I can't tell if I should be taking them with a black background, a white background, if I need to add anything to the photos or if the cases are busy enough to not need other things in the picture. Also, you can have up to 5 photos but how many different ways can I photograph a phone case? I wish I had a talent for it, but I just don't. Thank you in advance for any ideas!!

Re: How can I improve

They're always saying to put in five photos, but you're right: some things it just doesn't make sense.

I have the same background color issues, too. I'll photograph on a set four or five backgrounds, including white, a neutral, and black, and pick the best ones.

It is important that your background doesn't distract from your item photo and white, black, and neutral (ie sand) are usually safe choices.

Re: How can I improve

Based on what you sell, I would use a white background and be consistent.
It is a safe choice if your uncertain what to do.

You don't need to use all 5 photos but seeing your product from more than just one angle or side would be beneficial so I would have at least 3.

Re: How can I improve

Hi Team! I'm new here and would love some constructive criticism on my product photography. I have a photographer taking the pics of models wearing my product, but I am taking the product photos myself. I am currently using picmonkey.com to edit my photos and am shooting all of my products on a white background in natural light. However, in some pics the white background turns out more pinkish or greenish at times. I try to edit that out using picmonkey.com, but I'm still not happy with the color of the background when I see my products posted all together on my Etsy page. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! So excited to have a community like this to reach out to for help! :)
