Re: Help please?

I am in no way can make suggestions...I am just figuring out some ways to improve my photos!

I would suggest reading all the threads here and see if there a few new things to try! Don't get overwhelmed! Tackle it in small pieces. You will find some way that will work...the key is to keep trying new suggestions!

I hope you post new pictures as you try new things!

I would love to see them!

Re: Help please?

Quilts:

I think with your quilts, this shot is really successful: http://www.etsy.com/listing/41380921/summer-fun-funky-windows-twin-or-lap

the key to large pieces is to show some background in them: http://www.flickr.com/photos/mimiandsky/sets/72157625035355547/

it could be folded up in it's natural environment on a bed or a white background or folded and draped over a chair, foot board or ottoman.

Bibs, Keychains, Organizers, Purses:
I'd pull back in the shots a little bit. They tend to be too closely cropped. You present them in varying ways, which is excellent.

baby t-shirts:
I'd use a wood hanger or a padded fancy baby hanger and take full shots of the t-shirt or much closer shots with the frame cropped to center on the graphic with some of the hanger showing and a sleeve.

your color is great and the angles you take are great. :)

Re: Help please?

I LOVE blunt! I hate it when I ask for help or a critique and people say, "oh I love your shop". That's not what I need.

Thank you SOOOOO much for your help. I really really appreciate it. I love the idea of showing some background in larger pieces. Totally makes sense to me. I am also going to retake the pictures of my bibs etc to see if I can back up a little.

Thanks again!

Re: Help please?

The quilts look great. Why not put them into a location where they can be seen for their purpose - e.g. on a bed for example.

You can also show close up detail shots, and you should, but to see them in a setting would make a buyer see how they might look in their home, in my opinion.

Re: Help please?

Thanks Digital, that is a good idea. I am going to redo them when the sun actually comes out here. My house is so dark!
