Hi there Daily Etsy Sellers!

Browsing through the members list of our team and looking at all your lovely shops, I started noticing we are a very diverse group of shop owners. Some of us have been on Etsy for years, others are just starting off and have yet to make their first sale.

Let's start a discussion on making that first sale. We all know it's that one magical moment, just that one sale, we're all eagerly waiting for when just starting out on Etsy.

So let's share!

Hi, im a new seller and have for many years been collecting Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Southeast asian antiques...My whole life. I have always loved hunting for lost pieces of history. And finding the secrets.I will continue to collect and add new pieces, so it will be an ever evolving list of unique items!

Hello people!

I started the shop in February but wasn´t able to work from the first day on it. I just started viewing other shops and gaining some more information and then after maybe two monts I put a few items online.

To gain more view I started using Instagram and Pinterest. Two days ago I joined two groups on Pinterest (In an older thread Debbie posted that group boards are a good idea to gain more views so i tried to join some of them). But I haven´t pinned something from my shop until now, so I can not say how useful it really is.

My first sale was when I was on vacation in the Netherlands. I was really surprised and textet the buyer imediately (did not get an answer...) and shipped the items out as soon as possible. They are still shipping.. because it needs get from Germany to USA and I am daily taking a look in the internet with the tracking number if it is finally delivered..
But it seems to take time.. I send the items out two weeks ago..
I guess it took 2-3 months until i sold the first items.

I still think social media is very very usefull, especially instagram at the moment. I will continue to upload almost every day one photo or at least every second day.. because it really increased my traffic on etsy. I am not looking for as many as possible followers but for people who are clicking through my shop.

In my shop I personally like my leather bags because they are really well made but my cushions seem to attract more people.. xD So we will see..

Hello! my first sale with my new Grannypeppa shop comes from a lovely Instagram follower, I was truly happy about this! It's great that people that follow you daily on social media get into your world and decide to purchase from you. I always love to treat my customers with lovely packages and all the care I can, but when a customers interact with you daily on social media the treat and the grateful for that purchase is double!
