I thought a chat thread would be good for sharing just about everything as well as having a good old chit chat while we do so =)

At the moment I am eating cheese and crackers and then I plan to research the restrictions that were on women in the eighteenth century. I have an assignment due next Friday based on the visible and invisible walls in womens lives.

Hey Carrie, there are loads of free ebooks every day on this page (on twitter and facebook).... ereader1uk...lots of different styles, most are free,, some are reduced... , just be sure they are still free when you buy as offers only last a short while.....check it out see what you think. I only got my kindle around May and I've over 400 books now... only paid for the few that I cudn't wait to get my hands on ;-)

Wish I had time to read - canned the last of the pickled cucumbers this morning and 8 pints of pickled serrano hot peppers - pulled more green beans and tomatoes - have to can salsa soon but the lady I clean for wants me this afternoon and several times this week maybe - and need to can the rest of the summer squash soon but salsa first - that takes time - but keep trying to promote all!

I'm kinda bummed out =( The car I was looking to buy sold already so I'm back to square one. I'm just trying to think that it's fate that I can't get it and there is something better round the corner =/ I'm not optimistic thought lol. I'm just trying to see it as if I wait till pay day I might be able to afford a bit more.
Also at least I can afford those supplies I need.

Well, in this economy there are always other cars Luna and the prices are continually going down on used cars because people are eager to sell them. Think of it that way =)

And supplies are always good!!

I'm in a right fuddle with my student finance this year. They keep mucking my mum about so I called them today to see what exactly they wanted from her as evidence of income. She now has to ring HMRC and get them to send her a statement of earnings since she's unemployed and then she has to send that to SF. I don't think I'll be getting my full payments on time this year.

There goes my supplies. And my new camera. And our new tv. lol

That sucks. My friend had a similar problem with hers. the said they needed proof of divorce or something from her parents and her dad passed away a few years ago. Its ridiculous.

I know it was just that it was a really good deal with the motand stuff.

Surely what they meant to ask for was the death certificate then? They are absolutely useless. There needs to be a big re-organisation .

They really are useless. But then every time I've had to deal with any organization for things like that it always seems to go wrong.

Erin - to sell food you have to be real careful and I live in the US - they are really picky here and the weight would be horrible for postage - I did have my food handler license in another state so I could sell at flea markets - but both my husband and I live on disability which they are planning on cutting soon = so we figure we better hold onto all the food we can! Thanks for the thought though -

Carrie I'll take a break when this gardening season is over and the fall projects are done - got the black olive tree trimmed this morning - picked about 100 jalapeno peppers so guess will be making salsa on Thursday - suppose to be cool - unsure if will pickle rest or what! Still have more - next summer WILL be different! Thanks for your concern.

I've got a project up and running on a site called BloomVC where if people donate to the project, they get rewarded. On my project they get rewarded with discount codes and freebies from my bath and body shop. I am aiming to raise £450 towards new photography equipment for my shops since our camera is on the blink. If I don't reach my target then all money raised is refunded to the donatees.

Wish I could Carrie - still need to look into the shrink warp - worked yesterday - canning salsa today and probably squash tomorrow - can't believe that was 93 F (38.8 C) yesterday and 54 F ( 12.2 C) today - cold front with some rain which we need but have to take the dog out soon - will warm up again!

No Luna - have never worked with that stuff - so glad the money worked out!

So happy for you - I always see things I would like to donate to - but can't though whenever I use my Visa card some money gets sent to a Native American school I have visited that always needs help - more credit cards should do that - good luck!
