Got orders for 2 more earwarmers at work. Good thing I can do one a night. Hands are a little sore after tonight's work, but I'm very proud of bag I created tonight. It is a beautiful purple.
Another plus - my son comes home soon! He's been at his dad's all summer. School and dance start next month!
Maggie, I wouldn't mind being paid in fabulous sandwiches either. :P
My manager brought some tea bags in to work yesterday and asked me to 'look after them' for him as he knew I'd run out and was having caffeine withdrawal. :P
Come to think of it working in a place with free drinkable tea would be nice. ;) We have a drinks machine that is free and the tea is vile.
My first ever Team Leader at work said 'never drink the tea'. One day I got a tea from the vending machine and he shouted 'I thought I told you to never drink the tea'. So I never have. :P
We take in our own teabags and milk and make our own. I would love to work somewhere that provides the ingredients again, I would feel like a grown up. :)
I'm not into chai myself (not a milk drinker) but my fiance likes it. I mostly drink green - sometimes white or oolong. The only black tea I really like is darjeeling, unless it's iced tea. I also get frustrated with blends - something sounds nice, but then they have to throw chicory or licorice into it and I don't care for either of those flavors!
There is this fantastic coffee shop in Fargo, and they have this loose leaf tea called Evening In Missoula. It's SO GOOD! I can't even begin to describe how much I love this tea!
I had a chai recently that had liquorice, anise & fennel in and that was just overkill. Myself and my friend were just calling it liquorice tea instead as it certainly didn't taste like chai.
It has taken me quite a while to find a green tea that doesn't make me pull faces but I do like it with lemon. :)
I stay out of coffee shops (even if we had one here, which we don't, unless you count the McCafe). I dislike coffee intensely and the smell makes me sorta nauseated.
I always go for a soya chai latte when I drop my car off at the garage. The coffee shop is the only place open that early and the latte will calm me down and stop worrying about the cost. :P
I also do a bit of people watching while I drink it. :)
I don't have that issue usually - my fiance usually does most of our car repairs, unless it's super complicated - like when we had to replace the engine in his Camaro.
You are very lucky. I have a very good garage that has told me they have adopted my car so am very lucky but lately car repairs are the last thing I can afford. Even the basics of the service and MOT worry me.
For some reason a soya chai latte makes the worry go away for a while. :P
August is a funny month, that's why I often close my shops for the entire month and just enjoy the summer. I always know it's gong to be quiet and rather than agonise, I just go with the flow.
I've just been finishing a very large mussels string painting which is now ready to begin painting. I'm excited about this one. I love it when I get to the stage of being able to upload them here and to my site.
The weather for us has been pretty poor, much rain and although it is sunny now, the air is cool so I've not been able to swim for a few days. I miss it. Not sure I'll be able to go in again this year at this rate.
Hi all:) May I ask a question about craftori.com? I'm having issues with it. If this is not the correct place to ask this, I'm sorry!
I created a craftori account yesterday and I listed 2 of my items. But today when I login and click on My Profile, I don't see the listings I posted. I am also clicking on My Posts, but I still don't see them.
Any ideas?
Thanks guys! I look forward to getting to know you all;)
cathy, I hope you get some better weather. It's looking nice again today, in fact it's colder inside so I may go out and warm up a bit. :P
Shelly,
It's possible that you just uploaded them to the wrong section. I did that a while ago. I didn't realise I was supposed to be uploading them to the paid for supplies section. I'm going to get that organised and start using it on the weekend. :)
Not sure if this is the thread for craftori questions either. :)
I thought that this might be a good place to introduce myself. The team Captain sent me an invitation and after a bit of deliberation and poking about, I have decided that I do like this place of yours.... Thank you for the invitation.
I have two shops on Etsy and I love it here! I used to have shops on a couple of other "Internet Mall" style sites which were larger than Etsy but now, I think that Etsy is leading the pack! The constant improvements and upgrades are wonderful -- in my opinion....
I look forward to getting to know more Etsians and I hope that you are all having a wonderful beginning to this gloriously sunny (here in Southern British Columbia) Labour Day long weekend.
